NFL

  • Chiefs 30 Raiders 29
    • No lead is safe versus Kansas City. With Aaron Rodgers taking a step back in 2022, Patrick Mahomes is probably the best quarterback in football, as evidenced by his 29/43 and four touchdown performance last night. In this game, Travis Kelce had one of the strangest stat lines I’ve ever seen: seven catches for 25 yards and four touchdowns. The Chiefs take on the Bills next week in what’s sure to be a thriller.
    • The Raiders are probably toast. 1-4 will be tough to come back from in the difficult AFC, and nearly impossible to come back from in the AFC West. Derek Carr is fine, and he has a nice assortment of weapons, but that hasn’t prevented Las Vegas from suffering some brutal losses this season. Maxx Crosby has been awesome as an edge rusher, but he hasn’t gotten much help from free agent splash Chandler Jones on the other side. Luckily for the Raiders, they get the Texans following their bye week. Obviously they need to win that game.
