- Red Sox sign 3B Rafael Devers to 10-year, $313.5M extension
- The moment the news of this extension became public, I’m sure plenty of clubs let out a sigh of frustration. It’s rare for players as young and talented as Devers to hit the open market, and Boston’s third baseman was just a year away from doing so. For the Red Sox, this is a pretty strong deal, as Devers has shown great consistency as a hitter, especially for a 26-year-old. If Devers improves even further, this deal could become a bargain for Boston.
