NBA
- Magic 123, Pelicans 110
- Franz Wagner has arrived. The second-year forward dropped 30 points and dished out nine assists in this contest, and would probably go No. 3 — at worst, in 2021 redraft.
- Hawks 139, Knicks 124
- The Hawks, winners of five in a row, are getting it together at the right time. In theory, Trae Young and Dejounte Murray seemed like a nice pairing on paper, and that proved true in this game. Murray exploded for 29 points, six rebounds, and 12 assists.
MLB
- Marlins receive: Luis Arraez
- Twins receive: Pablo Lopez and two prospects
- The Marlins had a deep assortment of starting pitching, so moving Lopez makes sense, especially since it led to the acquisition of Arraez. Arraez may very well be baseball’s best contact hitter, and will surely remind at least a few Marlins fans of Luis Castillo. Moving a player of Lopez’s caliber, along with two extremely young prospects, certainly has its risks, but obtaining three years of Arraez makes it worth it.
Grade: B+ - The Twins will miss Arraez — no doubt about it, but Lopez gives Minnesota’s rotation more legitimacy. Also, the two prospects acquired by the Twins are lottery tickets, but the chance of even one panning out adds intrigue to this deal.
