- Providence hires Kim English as head coach
- Losing Ed Cooley to conference rival Georgetown was certainly a blow to Providence, but choosing English as his replacement is a good decision. The former George Mason head coach is obviously young, but English won 20 games with the Patriots this past season, and his hire should create some excitement among the Friar faithful. With English and Rick Pitino joining the league, the Big East should be as good as it’s been in a long time in 2024.
