  • Four-star safety Xavier Filsaime commits to Florida
    • Billy Napier has it rolling on the recruiting trail. Filsaime, 2024’s No. 36 prospect, joins DJ Lagway, Myles Graham, and Adarius Hayes as top-50 recruits in Florida’s No. 6 ranked class. The Gators will need every blue chip talent possible to overtake Georgia in the SEC East.

MLB

  • Orioles 8, Athletics 7
    • The Orioles have seen plenty of their players struggle in the early going, but that hasn’t been the case at all for Adley Rutschman, Ryan Mountcastle, and Austin Hays. I bet on the Orioles to win over 76.5 games before the season began, and I’m feeling pretty good about that wager currently.
  • Rays 9, Red Sox 3
    • Tampa Bay is a machine. The 13-0 Rays have gotten, to this point, a significant bounce back season from Brandon Lowe, who already has five home runs and 12 RBIs. The Rays travel to Toronto this weekend, where I expect their win streak to be snapped.
    • Boston’s Corey Kluber acquisition doesn’t look good thus far. Kluber is 0-3 with a 6.92 ERA.
  • Reds 6, Phillies 2
    • I guarantee the Reds are happy to have Tyler Stephenson back this season. Stephenson, one of the game’s best young catchers, went 2-4 with an RBI in this game after missing a good portion of 2022 with a right clavicle fracture.
    • It’s been a nightmarish 4-9 start for a Phillies team that made the World Series last season. Thankfully, it’s the middle of April, so there’s plenty of time to right the ship.
