- Raptors fire head coach Nick Nurse
- Nurse is clearly taking the fall for some bad decisions by Masai Ujiri and the front office, along with underperformance from several players. Those underperforming players, though, could possibly use a new voice, despite Nurse winning the 2019 championship with the team. This is a pretty good opening, and should attract interest from a number of strong candidates, but I doubt any of them are as good of a coach as Nurse is.

- Creighton transfer PG Ryan Nembhard commits to Gonzaga
- I thought Nembhard was heading to Arizona, but the former Bluejay joining Gonzaga isn’t a shock, considering his brother (Andrew) played for the Bulldogs. Nembhard should fare well in Spokane, as he’s a better player than any of the Zags’ guards from a year ago. Gonzaga also got an extra dose of good news yesterday when Wyoming transfer Graham Ike decided to join the program. Gonzaga will be very good yet again in 2024.
