• 76ers fire head coach Doc Rivers
  • Rivers is an accomplished coach — there’s no question about it, but it wasn’t a bad idea for Philadelphia to opt to move on, even if it feels unfair to Rivers. Three seasons and three losses in the conference semifinals doesn’t exactly scream success for a 76ers club that’s been thinking championship for a few years. It’ll be interesting to see what’s next for Rivers, as I’m guessing he’ll still have interest in coaching. For the 76ers, the next head man will obviously be under immense pressure to win.
