- Suns hire Frank Vogel as head coach
- Vogel is a solid coach, especially on the defensive end, making this a smart hire by Phoenix. The former Pacers and Lakers head coach received barely any credit for guiding Los Angeles to an NBA championship in 2020, but he’s led successful teams at both stops, and there’s no reason why that should change with the Suns. It was a risk to fire Monty Williams with no immediate replacement lined up, but the Suns knocked this hire out of the park.
