  • I can’t find what the protection is on the 2029 first-round pick that Denver is trading, but this is a smart, albeit nearsighted move by the Nuggets. Acquiring three picks in the near future enables the contending Nuggets to roster cheap young players that can hopefully contribute right away.

  • The Thunder has an abundance of picks in various upcoming drafts, so cashing out three decent picks in exchange for one potentially good pick is a wise decision. Depending on the protection on the 2029 selection, Oklahoma City could be adding a very valuable pick down the road. Sam Presti strikes again.
