- Bob Huggins resigns and retires as West Virginia head coach
- Huggins probably needed to make this decision to get his personal affairs in order, but the Mountaineers will have a difficult time replacing the Hall of Fame coach. Huggins elevated the West Virginia program in so many ways, especially from a competitiveness standpoint, so it’ll likely be challenging for the Mountaineers to compete in the Big 12 in the coming years, despite the influx of transfers coming to Morgantown. This is a solid job, though, so there will be surely be a number of promising candidates interested in the position.
