Giants receive: 2024 second-round pick and 2025 fifth-round pick
Seahawks receive: Leonard Williams

The Giants are eating most of the remaining money owed to Williams, but getting a second-round selection for the impending free agent is good work by Joe Schoen. Williams is a talented defender and players like him don’t grow on trees, but it’s wise of the 2-6 Giants to read the room and realize their lack of playoff prospects this season.

On the other hand, the 5-2, first-place Seahawks have plenty of reasons to go for it this year. Seattle has tons of key players in the primes of their careers, and Williams will join that group. The price for this deal is a bit steep, but the Seahawks need depth to boost their strong defensive line, and Williams can provide that and then some.
