Indiana fires head coach Tom Allen

This is a somewhat risky move by Indiana — Allen did a decent job in Bloomington, and there’s no guarantee the program will find a better replacement. Indiana is one of the most difficult jobs in the Big Ten, and while Allen went 9-27 over the past three seasons, he did guide the Hoosiers to a 6-2 mark and a No. 12 finish in the AP Poll in 2020. It’ll be difficult for any new head coach to top that campaign. A realistic expectation for the Hoosiers is making it to a bowl game most seasons.
