Duquesne promotes Dru Joyce to head coach

This is the logical decision for the Dukes, as Joyce will have the opportunity to continue what Keith Dambrot built in Pittsburgh. Another bonus: Joyce is just 39.

Drake transfer SF Tucker DeVries commits to West Virginia

This transfer became a mortal lock once Darian DeVries left Drake to take the West Virginia job. The Mountaineers were discombobulated this past season amidst a 9-23 mark, but adding the head coach’s son in DeVries should help create a more positive path forward for the West Virginia program. The small forward averaged 21.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game in 2024, so he’s capable of providing an all-around boost to the Mountaineers.
