MLB
Mets 16, Braves 4
It’s rare to see the Braves get bludgeoned to this degree, but even one of the best teams in baseball is susceptible to being blown out when it starts Allan Winans.
Royals 13, Astros 3
This game was basically over right after it began. In the first inning, Kansas City tallied nine runs, and after years of struggles, a corner might be getting turned for the 9-4 Royals. Bobby Witt Jr. is the biggest reason why; the star shortstop went 4-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in this game.
Houston is now 4-10, but it’s obviously a long season, and I don’t think there’s any reason to panic for the Astros. The franchise has a winning pedigree over the last decade and enough talent to still win the AL West.
