Heat 112, Bulls 91

Miami’s outlook against Boston doesn’t look good sans Jimmy Butler, but a few outlier performances were enough for the Heat to blow past the Bulls in this game. For starters, Jaime Jaquez scoring 21 points while filling in for Butler was big, as was Kevin Love’s 16 points and 10 made free throws. I expect the Celtics to sweep the Heat, but Boston will have to work for it.

This could be the summer the Bulls finally blow it up — if the team is smart. DeMar DeRozan is a free agent, and the best move for his career is probably to depart Chicago. He’ll have at least several suitors. Unfortunately for the Bulls, Zach LaVine is under contract through 2027, but it would still be best for the Bulls to find a new home for him. Chicago will also have a number of other decisions to make, but the mediocrity needs to stop, and it’ll probably have to get worse before it gets better in the Windy City.
