2025 four-star RB Marquise Davis commits to Kentucky

Davis is the No. 165 recruit in the class of 2025. I typically don’t write about four-star prospects — Avery Johnson to Kansas State is the only one I’ve ever discussed — but this recruitment is notable because the Wildcats beat out Michigan, the favorite to land Davis. The Wolverines hired running backs coach Tony Alford away from Ohio State this offseason, and Alford had a tendency to miss out on a ton of targets while with the Buckeyes. Some things never change, and Alford isn’t off to a great start with Michigan.

Dayton transfer SG Koby Brea commits to Kentucky

Mark Pope has been doing a good job in building a new Kentucky roster since taking the job, and adding Brea is yet another nice get for the former BYU head coach. Brea didn’t start often for Dayton in 2024 (he made just four starts), but he’s a tremendous shooter that’ll help space the floor for the Wildcats. Last season, Brea hit 49.8 percent of his three-point attempts.
