2025 four-star CB Mark Zackery commits to Notre Dame
It’s always important for programs to protect their turf and win recruiting battles for in-state players. Zackery, the No. 135 prospect for 2025 and an Indiana native, fits that goal for the Fighting Irish, who edged out Michigan and Cincinnati for the cornerback’s services. Notre Dame lost Cam Hart to the NFL and will lose Benjamin Morrison following this season, so the cornerback room needs some new blood.

Tigers 2, Blue Jays 1
Reese Olson has run into some horrible luck thus far, starting 0-5, despite carrying a 2.16 ERA into yesterday’s game. Things eventually tend to even out though, and Olson recorded win No. 1 in this game, allowing zero earned runs across 6 1/3 innings.
Selling at the deadline is starting to become a real possibility for the Blue Jays. Bo Bichette and George Spring, among others, have struggled for Toronto, leading to a subpar 23-28 record. Mark Shapiro and Ross Atkins will likely give their club two more months to figure it out, but a blow-it-up scenario is in play.
