Braves sign 3B Gio Urshela to one-year, $163,098 contract

The Braves can’t shake the injury bug this season, as Austin Riley is the club’s latest victim. Urshela won’t replicate Riley’s production — few can — but he’s a capable big leaguer, even if he’s struggled in 2024. There’s still time for the infielder to raise his .619 OPS and help Atlanta land a postseason berth.
