Bengals OT Trent Brown out for season with torn patellar tendon

So I guess this is why the Bengals drafted Amarius Mims in the first round. Brown wasn’t bad at all through three games at right tackle, but he’s replaceable, especially by the towering Mims. Cincinnati’s offense shouldn’t drop off with the 31-year-old sidelined.

Saints C Erik McCoy out for six-to-eight weeks with groin injury

The Saints’ offense — save for some moments here and there versus the Eagles last week — has been clicking on all cylinders. Without McCoy, arguably the best center in the NFL, life will get harder, particularly in the running game. This is a massive blow, but at least it’s not season ending.
