Nationals sign SP Trevor Williams to two-year, $14 million contract
The National’s most likely won’t contend in 2025, but this deal is a bargain, making it hard to knock Washington for signing the 32-year-old. After years of serving as a middling starting pitcher, Williams excelled last season, finishing 6-1 with a 2.03 ERA over 13 starts. While it’s unreasonable to expect the right-hander to repeat those results next year, Williams should be a mainstay in the Nationals’ rotation over the duration of this contract.
