Bills sign DT Larry Ogunjobi to one-year, $8.3 million contract

Meh. Ogunjobi is a decent player, but he’s on the wrong side of 30. This is just another example of the free agency market being overinflated.

The defensive tackle posted 41 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 2024 with Pittsburgh.

Dolphins sign LB Tyrel Dodson to two-year, $8.25 million contract

The second wave of free agency is here, because this agreement is actually cheaper than expected. Splitting time last year between the Seahawks and Dolphins, Dodson recorded 107 tackles and two sacks. The 26-year-old mostly thrives in coverage, but is an underrated player overall. Miami is wisely retaining him.

Buccaneers sign DT Greg Gaines to one-year, $3.5 million contract

Gaines, 28, should be in his prime, but he was strangely at his best during his first few seasons in the league. The 2019 fourth-round selection isn’t a bad player — especially against the run — by any means, but I question this signing for the Buccaneers. Gaines does have familiarity with the franchise, however.

Grade: C

Titans sign WR Van Jefferson to one-year, $2.5 million contract

Compared to some of the wide receiver contracts handed out recently, I don’t hate this deal. Jefferson is a decent No. 4 receiver, and while the 28-year-old will likely never match his 2021 total of 802 receiving yards again, he’ll help whoever plays quarterback for the Titans this season.

Grade: B

Broncos sign LB Justin Strnad to one-year, $2.7 million contract

Strnad isn’t good, but given the cheap nature of this pact, I don’t question the Broncos’ decision. Strnad made 73 tackles and three sacks last season.
