Fordham fires head coach Keith Urgo

The Atlantic 10 is a difficult place for Fordham to compete, so expectations for Urgo were probably too high. It’s not like he fared poorly, either, as the Rams finished 25-8 in 2023, his first season on the job. The program’s record tanked following that, but this dismissal is mostly unwarranted.

Louisiana Monroe hires Phil Cunningham as head coach

The Warhawks are promoting from within, tapping Cunningham. The 58-year-old served as an assistant with the program this season, and previously was the head coach at Troy. His tenure with the Trojans was uneven, but that would be adequate for Louisiana Monroe, a program with low expectations.
