Bucks PG Damian Lillard out for season with torn left Achilles tendon

This news felt like a real possibility when Lillard went down with a non-contact injury on Sunday night, but that doesn’t make it any less devastating. With Milwaukee trailing Indiana 3-1, the Bucks’ season is likely all but over, and the bigger question becomes what to make of the point guard’s future. A return next season is doubtful, and that would mean that Lillard wouldn’t play again until after his 36th birthday. An Achilles tear is hard to enough to return from, so accomplishing the feat at 36 is even more daunting.

The Bucks are at a crossroads, and that’s before we even get to the future of Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee.
