Jaguars sign P Logan Cooke to four-year, $16 million contract extension
Jacksonville wasn’t good last season, finishing just 4-13. The Jaguars did, however, roster two of the top special teams players in the league in Cooke and Ross Matiscik. Jacksonville previously awarded Matiscik with a contract extension in 2022, and now Cooke will receive his due.
In fact, receiving his due is putting it lightly, as the Jaguars are making Cooke the highest-paid punter in the NFL. $4 million per year is a lofty price for a punter, but the 29-year-old is one of the best players at his position, as he’s become outstanding at landing the ball inside the 20-yard line. The Jaguars need more good players, and they already have one in Cooke.
