Rockets sign SF Josh Okogie to one-year, $3.1 million contract

Good teams can always use specialists — players that make their mark with one elite skill. For the Rockets, Josh Okogie fits the bill. The 26-year-old’s offense has never been up to par, and almost certainly never will be. No big deal. Okogie is a great perimeter defender, and he’s joining a team that already boasts several others.

Houston has done a nice job in rounding out its roster. Signing Okogie is actually one of the worst moves by the franchise this summer, which suggests how buoyant things are for the Rockets heading into the season.
