Bills sign C Connor McGovern to four-year, $52 million contract

There was some initial pessimism regarding McGovern’s chances of returning to Buffalo, leading to a wait-and-see approach for all parties. The waiting didn’t last long, however, as one of the NFL’s better centers won’t hit the open market.

For the Bills, that’s a good thing. The going rate for top centers should change within the next week or so, as Tyler Linderbaum is set to cash in. Creed Humphrey is currently the league’s highest-paid center at $18 million per season, but Linderbaum will almost certainly soar past that figure. Securing McGovern at $13 million per season is good business.

From a roster-building perspective, keeping Josh Allen’s snapper around works, too. McGovern is a former left guard, but has thrived at his new position over the last two seasons. In 2025, he ranked fifth in the NFL in pass-block win rate.

Eagles sign DT Jordan Davis to three-year, $78 million contract extension

This agreement makes Davis the highest-paid nose tackle in NFL history, while keeping him with the Eagles through 2029.

We have four seasons of evidence of Davis being a good-to-great interior defensive lineman. The 26-year-old entered the league as a big, athletic and, most importantly, stout interior defender. Those traits enabled him to stop the run effectively right out of the gate. Over time, Davis has upped his pash-rushing repertoire, recording 4.5 of his eight career sacks last year alone.

This is a massive extension, so Philadelphia is surely hoping the former Georgia product continues to ascend. It’s a bet I would make, too.
