I’ve been locked in for the FIFA World Cup over the past two-plus weeks. Soccer isn’t normally a sport I follow — again, bandwidth. There are far too many clubs and players that I would need to familiarize myself with, and it simply wouldn’t be worth my time.
This World Cup, however, has been exciting to watch. Group play will finish up today and tomorrow, leading to the Round of 32. I expect to enjoy the bracketed matches even more than the group games.
It’s cool finding new ways to entertain ourselves. Just don’t expect me to start following soccer year-round.
