NFL
That was a blast.
The NFL draft always has been and always will be my favorite sporting event of the year. It’s wild. It’s unpredictable. It’s enthralling. It’s all the above. My only complaint about the event is that it goes by in the blink of an eye. That rang especially true this year, when the league shortened the amount of time allotted for each selection. I miss the days when franchises had 15 minutes to make a first-round pick, but we’ll never get them back. Onward.
This draft was considered weak. While that’s probably an accurate assessment, it didn’t take away any enjoyment from me. If anything, I’m looking forward to next year’s seven-round selection meeting more than ever.
But that’s for 2027.
For now, there’s plenty to focus on. The NBA playoffs take center stage, but MLB action is ongoing, too. I haven’t done a great job of consistently posting on this site, though if you’re reading here, you’ve likely noticed my activity on X. Moving forward, I’ll try to supplement my thoughts via both forums in a more thorough manner.
I’ve babbled too much. Today, we have four NBA playoff games and 16 MLB contests to look forward to. Have a great Sunday.
